Role: Media Lead, Photographer, Videographer, Social Media Lead, and Archiving
Worked as the resident media lead for Camp Cross on beautiful Lake Coeur D'Alene, Idaho. The following are weekly recap videos I directed, filmed, and edited for our Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, E-blasts, and Vimeo. My favorite showing is when I get to show all the campers, staff, volunteers, and families at the end of each week on closing day, and parents get to see their child at play throughout the week. I love this style of storytelling where I can take people's experiences and preserve them in a story.

An outlier to this is, of course, the COVID-19 Pandemic which forced us to cancel camp for the campers and focus entirely on facilities and making the camp better for the years to come. My role this year, along with facilities and maintenance, was to still be the media lead and document all notable changes to the camp that donors were paying for. Being given full creative freedom, I chose to create a weekly newscast-style video for the campers that would recap all of the work being done at camp, have fun trivia and parts where campers could submit questions, comments, and jokes, and to do my very best to bring camp to the campers quarantined at home. This was an absolutely wonderful experience and so much hard yet fulfilling work.
